" 46-Year-Old Hackensack Resident Was Shot In The Area Of Market & Seeley Streets In Paterson, New Jersey."

PATERSON, NJ.- On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 1:28 a.m. June 23, 2021, members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Market Street and Seeley Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 48-year-old Hackensack, New Jersey resident who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment.
Based on the initial investigation, it was determined the victim was standing in the area of Market and Seeley Streets when he was struck by gunfire. A potential crime scene was established in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
