COVID FUNDS ARE NOW BEING SHIFTED TO SOUTHERN BORDER

While Health Secretary Xavier Becerra testified to a House Panel, on Wednesday May 12th. In defence of a new request, allocating $905 million to replenish the Strategic National Stockpile and Covid-19 testing efforts, this came after the shifting of $2.13 million from the stockpile fund, for the care of unaccompanied migrant children.

The funds had originally been designated toward various measures to fight the Covid-19 Pandemic, as reported by Politico.

Department of Health and Human Services stated $850 million will come from funds originally intended to expand testing  for Covid-19.

Another $850 million will be taken out of a fund set aside to help the country rebuild its emergency stockpile of medical items, such as masks, respirators, and gloves. The Strategic National Stockpile is meant to support the country as it deals with an emergency, but the Covid-19 Pandemic, has basically depleted it.

Another $436 million coming from various health initiatives will also be diverted to support children at the border, according to Politico.

Since the beginning, then President-elect Biden's pledge in welcoming immigrants into the United States, then after become President,  halting border wall construction, and reversing the remain in Mexico policy, creating a crisis. As each day passes, our southern border has continued to experience a influx of migrants in record numbers.

Since January, Custom and Border Patrol Agents have encountered around 530,000 individuals, from 160 different countries, including over 22,000 unaccompanied children.

Within the first 120 days of office, Biden along with administration officials have allowed an immigration crisis to evolve into a humanitarian crisis at our southern border. With tens of thousands of undetected encounters crossing the border every month, our concerns of national security are now coming into play.

With Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas' continued stance that the border is closed, proves the deception and  gives insight to that this administration has no clear plan in the handling of this ever growing crisis.

We all know that the unaccompanied migrant children need to be cared for in a humane manner, the continued victimization of these children needs to cease, the facts are we are spending around $60 million per week to care for these children, who are by official's own accounts, not receiving the proper care required.

While thousands of american children each struggle with some type of hunger issues. President Biden's solution to child poverty is to afford parents a tax credit of up to $3600 per child per year, and advancing payments of up to $300 per child per month to parents, starting July 15th.

Statistics show that the Biden Administration, has been  spending around $60 million per week caring for the around 22,000 unaccompanied children presently in the custody of  the  Department of Health and Human Services.

Present spending amounts to roughly a little over $2,720 per week, for each unaccompanied child, amounting to over $10,000 per month.

Biden's claim that his tax credit program will cut child poverty by 45 percent, he's touting that each family will receive $800 per month, in advance payments made by direct deposits, amount that doesn't even cover food costs for three- children for two-weeks. Meanwhile each unaccompanied youth receives sub-standard care with a price tag of over $10,000 per month, we need to realize, The Biden Administration has no clear plan for our nation.
