BREAKING: Colts Neck, New Jersey Man Convicted On Sex Crimes Charges

FREEHOLD, NJ.- A 32-Year-Old Former Youth Tennis Instructor has been Convicted of Multiple Charges of Sexual Crimes that he Committed against a Student over the course of a year, Starting when the Girl was Twelve Years of Age.



     According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, Following a Two-Week Trial before The Honorable Jill G. O'Malley, Presiding Judge of The Criminal Divison for Monmouth County State Superior Court. A Jury returned Guilty Vertics against Terry Y. Kou, 32, of Colts Neck, New Jersey.


     The Conviction stems from an investigation that began after one of Mr. Kuo's Tennis Students reported that he Engaged in Various Instances of Sexual Misconduct on numerous occasions from August 2016 and continued through November 2017. A subsequent investigation by Members of The Marlboro Township Police Department, The Monmouth County Prosector's Office Special Victims Bureau, and The Computer Crimes Unit resulted in the Recovery of Digital Files containing Child Sexual Abuse Material on Mr. Kuo's Electronic Devices, as well as Evidence of Sexual Crimes committed against the Girl.


     At Trial, The State presented Digital and Physical Evidence, as well as Witness Testimony, including from the now 19-Year-Old Girl. The State proved that Kuo showered the Girl with Gifts such as Expensive Electronics, Jewelry, Designer Clothing, and Accessories while coercing her to Engage in Sexual Activity with him. 


     Kuo was Arrested in Marlboro Township in November 2017 and was initially Indicted in February 2018. Superseding Indictments were Filed upon discovery and review of additional evidence, in December 2018 and January 2023, before the Trial began in late September.


     The Jury found Kuo Guilty of Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; First Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Way of Manufacturing Child Sexual Abuse Material; First Degree Kidnapping; Three Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; Second Degree Child Endangerment by Way of Manufacturing Child Sexual Abuse Material; Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact; Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography; Third Degree Child Endangerment by Way of Engaging in Sexual Conduct; Third Degree Obscenity; Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact; and Fourth Degree Conspiracy to Commit Evidence Tampering.


     "The conduct of this defendant, so thoroughly outlined by our prosecutors during the course of his trial, was nearly incomprehensibly manipulative and predatory," Prosecutor Santiago said. "We sincerely thank the jury for carefully weighing the facts and reaching the appropriate conclusion."


     Sentencing in the matter has been Scheduled for Friday, December 1, 2023, at which time Mr. Kuo will face the potential of spending the rest of his life in New Jersey State Prison.

PLAINSBORO, NJ.- Middlesex County Authorities are continuing to investigate what appears to be a Murder-Suicide of a Family of Four including Two Young Children who were all found dead inside their Titus Lane Residence in Plainsboro, New Jersey, late Yesterday Afternoon.



     According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Plainsboro Police Chief Eamon Blanchard, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at approximately 4:37 p.m., Members of The Plainsboro Police Department responded to a Titus Lane Home after receiving a 911 Emergency Call requesting a Welfare Check at the Home.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers entered the home and Discovered the Bodies of Four Family Members, including Two Young Children Dead inside the Home. The Family has been Identified as Tej Pratap Singh, 43, Sonal Parihar, 42, and their Two Children a 10-Year-Old Boy and a 6-Year-Old Girl. The investigation remains active and ongoing.   


      The initial investigation by Detectives of The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and The Plainsboro Police Department determined there is no threat to the public and believed the Deaths to be that of a Murder-Suicide.

HACKENSACK, NJ.- A 48-Year-Old Colombian National Handyman from Morristown, New Jersey, was Sentenced to a New Jersey State Prison Term for The 2019 Rape of a Pre-Teen while he was working inside her Demarest, New Jersey Home.



     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Friday, September 29, 2023, in Bergen County State Superior Court, The Honorable Nina Remson, J.S.C. Sentenced Alejandro Velasquez-Martinez to 40 Years in New Jersey State Prison. The Sentence is subject to The Jessica Lunsford Act and The No Early Release Act which require Mr. Velasquez-Martinez up to 34 Years before becoming Eligible for Parole. Velasquez-Martinez upon release will also be Subject to Parole Supervision for Life and Megan's Law Registration Requirements. 


     On May 12, 2023, following a Four-Day Trial in Bergen County State Superior Court, Mr. Velasquez-Martinez was Convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault; Sexual Assault; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. During the Trial, The State presented Evidence that Established that during The Morning Hours of August 19, 2019, Velasquez-Martinez committed Aggravated Sexual Assualt on a Girl who was Under the Age of 13, while he was doing tile repairs in her Family's Home in Demarest, New Jersey.

PATERSON, NJ.- A Fourth Shooting Within Seventy-Two Hours, has Killed a Riverdale, New Jersey man and has Injured Two as Gun Violence returns to The Streets of Paterson, New Jersey.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Tuesday, October 4, 2023, at approximately 3:47 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to 911 Emergency Calls reporting a Shooting had occurred in the area of Broadway and Rosa Parks Boulevard in The City of Paterson.



     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Three Individuals who had sustained various Gunshot Wounds. The first, was a 23-Year-Old Riverdale, New Jersey man suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds to his Chest. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. A second was a 19-Year-Old Elmwood Park, New Jersey man who had sustained a Gunshot Wound to his Torso and was transported to the hospital and remains listed in Critical Condition. A third victim a Fifty-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man was Struck by Gunfire to his Leg and was transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment and is listed in Stable Condition.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time. More information may become available once released by authorities.

PATERSON, NJ.- A 22-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey woman Died yesterday at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center after being Struck by Gunfire Sunday Night in an apparent Drive-By-Shooting on a Paterson Street.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at approximately 9:22 p.m., a Paterson Police Officer while on routine patrol heard several Gunshots in the area of Van Houten and Cianci Streets in Paterson. While responding to the scene other Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area after receiving reports of a Shooting in Progress. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman, later identified as Mary Taylor, 22, of Paterson, New Jersey suffering from a Life-Threatening Gunshot Wound. Ms. Taylor was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment. Despite Life-Saving Efforts, Ms. Taylor succumbed to her injuries and was Subsequently Pronounced Deceased yesterday, October 2, 2023.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time. More information may become available once released by authorities.

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- A 44-Year-Old Atlantic City, New Jersey man will face an Extended Term of Incarcement after being Convicted on Friday on Charges of Sexually Assaulting his 8-Year-Old Stepdaughter while she slept in her bed on September 15, 2019.



     According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds, Andreas Andreadis, 44, of Atlantic City, New Jersey was Convicted on Friday, September 29, 2023, by a Jury sitting in Atlantic County, New Jersey on Charges of Second Degree Sexual Assault; Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Sexual Conduct; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Abuse.


     The conviction is a result when during the evening hours of September 15, 2019, Mr. Andreadis entered his Eight-Year-Old Stepdaughters window while she was Sleeping and proceeded to Touch her Vagina while she slept. 


     When Sentenced Mr. Andreadis will face between Five and Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison on each Charge. Andreadis with also be Subject to Megan's Law Registration Requirements and will be on Parole Supervision for Life. The Atlantic City Prosecutor's Office will be Seeking to have Andreadis Sentenced to an Extended Term because of his past Criminal History.

BELLEVILLE, NJ.- Today, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that a 43-Year-Old man has been Arrested and Charged in connection with The Sunday Morning Shooting Death of a 37-Year-Old Nutley, New Jersey woman inside a Belleville Residence.


     On Sunday, October 1, 2023, at approximately 10:24 a.m., Members of The Belleville Police Department responded to a 911-Emergency Call Reporting a Shooting at a residence located on The 100 Block of Meacham Street in Belleville. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman, later identified as Erica Voloshin, 37, of Nutley, New Jersey, Dead inside the residence from an apparent Gunshot Wound. 



     A Swift-Moving Investigation by Members of The Nutley Police Department and The Essex County Homicide Task Force was able to quickly determine that Scott Hurring, 43, of Belleville, New Jersey was the individual responsible for The fatal Shooting of Ms. Voloshin.


     Accordingly, Today, October 2, 2023, Mr. Hurring was Arrested and Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Hurring was Processed on The Charges and will be transported to The Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark to be detained pending Future Court Proceedings.

Valdes, on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at approximately 6:36 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to Multiple 911 Emergency Calls reporting Shots Fired in the area of Park Avenue and East 22nd Street in Paterson. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 19-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man lying on the ground having sustained Multiple Life-Threatening Gunshot Wounds.


     The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.

     On Saturday, September 30, 2023, at approximately 5:55 a.m., Members of The Englewood Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call Reporting a Shooting inside a residence at 6 Mevan Avenue in Englewood, New Jersey. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Jason Hidalgo, 35, of Bronx, New York deceased from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. 


     The investigation remains active and ongoing and is being conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and The Englewood Police Department.

ELIZABETH, NJ.- Yesterday, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel reported that on Monday, September 25, 2023, an Elizabeth, New Jersey man Surrendered to Authorities and was Charged in connection with The August 12, 2023, Shooting that Claimed the Life of a 27-Year-Old Bridgewater, New Jersey outside an Elizabeth Eatery.


     Maurice L. Pierce surrendered on Monday to The Elizabeth Police Department where he was Taken into Custody and Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Pierce was Charged for The Shooting on September 8, 2023. Pierce was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The County Jail pending Future Court Appearances.


     In the early morning hours, of Saturday, August 12, 2023, Members of The Elizabeth Police Department responded to The Corner of North Broad Street and Magnolia Avenue, after receiving Multiple Reports of a Man being Shot. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Jameer Outsey, 27, of Bridgewater suffering from a Life-Threatening Gunshot Wound. Mr. Outsey was immediately transported to a nearby Hospital, where despite Life-Saving Measures he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased.

TRENTON, NJ.- Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and The Trenton Police Department are Actively Investigating the Death of a man whose body was found alongside an Abandoned Delivery Truck in Trenton, New Jersey.


     On Thursday, September 28, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department while on a detailed post on The 500 Block of Chestnut Avenue on the Swan Street Side found an Unresponsive Hispanic man lying alongside an Abandoned Delivery Truck in a Vacant Parking Lot in The City. 


     The man was pronounced deceased at the Scene. During the preliminary investigation, Detectives determined the man had sustained Large Lacerations to his Face and Head. The Cause and Manner of Death are still pending the findings of The Regional Medical Examiner.


     The man has not been identified at this time. 32-YEAR-OLD WILLINGBORO MAN CONVICTED FOR THE 2020 SHOOTING DEATH OF A MAN

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ.- Yesterday, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw reported that a Jury sitting in Burlington County, New Jersey has Returned Guilty Verdicts against a 32-Year-Old Willingboro, New Jersey man for The Shooting Death of a man, in October 2020 outside of a House in The Township's Millbrook Park Neighborhood.



     After deliberating for just around two hours, The Jury Returned Guilty Verdicts against Kwacey Q. Owens, 32, of Willingboro Township, New Jersey on Charges of First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. In addition to The Conviction, Mr. Owens Pled Guilty to Two Counts of Second Degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons. 


     Sentencing in The Matter has been Scheduled for December 4, 2023, before The Honorable Mark P. Tarantino, in Burlington County Superior Court in Mount Holly, New Jersey.


     On October 8, 2020, just shortly after 1:30 a.m., Members of The Willingboro Township Police Department responded to The First Block of Maplewick Lane on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers found the Body of Barry Barino, 28, outside the rear door of his home.


     Mr. Barino was pronounced Dead at the Scene from a Single Gunshot Wound to his Head. The investigation revealed that Mr. Barino and Mr. Owens were acquaintances before Mr. Owens lured him outside and Shooting him in The Head.


     Mr. Owens was Arrested and Charged with Murder Twelve Days after The Shooting and has been Lodged in The Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly, New Jersey since his Arrest.

BREAKING: Verona, New Jersey Teacher Charged With Sex Crimes

NEWARK, NJ.- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II reported that following an investigation, on Friday, September 22, 2023, a 36-Year-Old Verona High School Teacher was Taken into Custody and Charged with Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and an Additional Ten other Charges.



     In July 2023, The Verona Police Department was notified that Matthew Swajkowski, 36, of Verona, New Jersey was Conducting an Inappropriate Relationship with a Child who was Under the Age of 18 but Older than 16 Years of Age. At the time of The Report, Mr. Swajkowski was Employed as a Teacher at The Verona High School. The Juvenile was a High School Student and a Member of The School's Chess Club.


     A joint investigation by Members of The Essex County Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with Detectives of The Verona Police Department determined that Mr. Swajkowski Engaged in Sexual Conduct with The Juvenile in Verona, New Jersey. The other Charges against Mr. Swajkowski are for Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and Purposefully or Knowingly Serving or Making Available Alcohol Beverages to a Person Under the Legal Age for Consuming Alcoholic Beverages.


     According to The Prosecutor's Office, while the Age of Consent in New Jersey is Sixteen, it is Unlawful for anyone whose "Legal Professional or Occupational Status" gives them "Supervisory or Disciplinary Power" over a Child who is at least Sixteen but less than Eighteen Years of Age to Engage in Sexual Conduct with that Child.


     Further, according to Robert Florida, Essex County Prosecutor's Office Spokesman, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Mr. Swajkowski appeared before The Honorable Patrick Arre, J.S.C. for a Detention Hearing. After Oral Arguments by both The State and The Defense, Judge Arre Determined that Due to The Severity of the Twelve Charges Against him, Mr. Swajkowski should be Detained in The Essex County Correctional Facility pending the Resolution of The Charges.

GARFIELD, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that on Wednesday, Members Of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit and The Garfield Police Department Arrested a 32-Year-Old Garfield, New Jersey man for the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child In Garfield, New Jersey.


     On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, The Division of Child Protection & Permanency contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding The Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child. An investigation was initiated into the allegations, and Detectives determined that Jarrell Taver-Hudson, 32, of Garfield, New Jersey, Sexually Assaulted the Child, who was under the Age of 14 at the Time of The Assault in Garfield, New Jersey, on one occassion.


     Accordingly, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, Mr. Taver-Hudson was Taken into Custody in Garfield and Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.


     Mr. Taver-Hudson was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending a First Appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court and Potential Detention Hearing in Bergen County State Superior Court.

BREAKING: 2 Paterson. New Jersey Men Charged In Stabbing

TWO MEN CHARGED FOR STABBING A 50-YEAR-OLD PATERSON MAN EARLY MONDAY MORNING

PATERSON, NJ.- Two Paterson, New Jersey men have been Arrested and Charged in connection with The Stabbing of a Paterson man early Monday Morning in the area of Main and Market Streets in The City of Paterson, according to Passaic County Authorities.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Monday, September 25, 2023, at approximately 1:25 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Main and Market Streets on a report of an individual being Stabbed. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 50-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man, suffering from Multiple Non-Life Threatening Stab Wounds. 



     The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment. The man's condition is not known at this time.


     An ensuing investigation by Members of The Paterson Police Department and The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office was able to quickly identify Bryan Canales-Arias, 29, and Ernesto Canales-Arias, 23, both of Paterson, New Jersey as Suspects and the individuals responsible for the Stabbing of The Man. Both men were Arrested later in the day on Monday.



     Accordingly, Mr. Bryan Canales-Arias and Ernesto Canales-Arias are each Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Aggravated Assault; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon, for an Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     Both men were Processed on The Charges and were Remanded to The Passaic County Jail pending future Court Proceedings. The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office intends to file a Pretrial Detention Motion to have both men detained pending trial.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Authorities reported that last Wednesday a 33-Year-Old Bayonne, New Jersey man was Arrested and Charged in connection with The July 24, 2022, Jersey City Hit & Run Collision that left a 64-Year-Old Jersey City, New Jersey man Hospitalized with Serious Injuries.


     Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Detectives of The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit Charged Joseph Emmons, 33, of Bayonne with Third Degree Endangering an Injured Victim; Fourth Degree False Reporting to Law Enforcement Authorities; and Fourth Degree Tampering With Physical Evidence. Mr. Emmons was Arrested at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Secaucus, New Jersey, and Released on a Complaint Summons pending his First Appearance which has been Scheduled for Friday, September 29, 2023.


     On August 1, 2022, The Jersey City Police Department was notified that a 64-Year-Old Man was Hospitalized in Jersey City Medical Center who had been involved in a Hit-and-Run Incident and Suffered Serious Injuries. An ensuing investigation determined that the man was Riding a Bicycle on July 24, 2022, at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the area of Kennedy Boulevard and Terhune Avenue in Jersey City when he was Struck by a Red Hyundai Motor Vehicle and Threw the man into a Parked Vehicle.

KEARNY, NJ.- A 24-Year-Old Elizabeth, New Jersey man was Arrested last Thursday and Charged in connection with a February Hit & Run Collision that injured Two Women as they crossed a Kearny, New Jersey Intersection.


     According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, Members of The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit Charged Ivo DaSilva-Oliveria, 24, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, with Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Collision Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury; Two Counts of Endangering an Injured Person; and Causing Injury as an Unlicensed Driver. Mr. DaSilva-Oliveira was Arrested at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Secaucus, and Released Pending his First Appearance which has been tentatively Scheduled for Friday, September 29, 2023.


     On Sunday, February 19, 2023, just after 6:00 p.m., Members of The Kearny Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting that Two Pedestrians had been Struck by a Motor Vehicle in the area of Belgrove Drive and Wilkinson Terrace in Kearny. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Two Women, a 57-Year-Old and a 77-Year-Old, both from Kearny, New Jersey. The Two Women were injured when Mr. DaSilva-Oliveira Struck them with his Vehicle and Fled the Scene. Both Women were transported to University Hospital for treatment.

BREAKING: Trenton, New Jersey Man Convicted In 2020 Double Homicide

TRENTON, NJ.- A Mercer County Jury has Returned Guilty Verdicts against a 22-Year-Old Trenton, New Jersey man for the August 2020 for Gunning Down Two Men in a Gang-Related Execution-Style Double Homicide on a Trenton, New Jersey Street.



     Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that on Thursday, September 21, 2023, a Mercer County Jury Convicted Tyzir Hamilton, 22, of Trenton, New Jersey of Two Counts of First Degree Murder; Conspiracy to Commit Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     The Conviction stems from an incident when on August 9, 2020, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an Active Shooting in Progress on The 300 Block of Centre Street in Trenton. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as William Irizarry, 18, lying on Street in the area of 339 Center Street, Unresponsive from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Irizarry was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.


     A Second Man, later identified as Julius Vargas, 18, was found inside a Corner Market suffering from a Serious Gunshot Wound. Mr. Vargas was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.


     An extensive investigation by Detectives of The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and The Trenton Police Department were able to locate a Witness and numerous Cameras in the area of The Shooting. Detectives quickly identified a Vehicle used in The Shooting as a Black Chrysler 300 with Pennsylvania License Plates. Two Shooters, described as black men wearing All-Black Clothing and Black Ski Masks. The Black Chrysler 300 was seen circling the area before The Shooting. The Vehicle was seen Parking and watching the Victims for several minutes as they stood on the corner with others. The Chrysler then drove up to the corner and stopped, at which time The Two Shooters, later identified as Tyzir Hamilton and Treizon Thompson, exited. 


     Both Hamilton and Thompson ran toward the Victims, each Firing Multiple Gunshots. The Driver of The Chrysler, later identified as Darnell Davis remained in the Vehicle. Hamilton and Thompson chased after Irizarry as he ran into the street, continuing to Shoot at him. When Mr. Irizarry fell to the ground after being struck by Gunfire, Hamilton and Thompson continued to Shoot Mr. Irizarry as he lay on the ground, Killing him.


     The Mercer County Computer Crimes Unit conducted a Physical and Forensic Search of Mr. Irizarry's cell phone, pursuant to a Search Warrant, a photo was found that Irizarry Posted on his Facebook Page disrespecting The H-Block Gang. Mercer County Homicide Task Force Detectives continued to monitor Multiple Public Posts throughout the month of August of numerous H-Block Gang Members talking about the Murders of Irizarry and Vargas, taunting and threatening friends and families of the Victims. They also posted about Irizarry Disrespecting The H-Block Gang prior to being Murdered.


     On September 1, 2020, while on surveillance during another investigation, Mercer County Homicide Task Force Detectives noticed the Black Chrysler 300 with Pennsylvania License Plates driving in the area of Pennington and Southhard Streets in Trenton. While Detectives were attempting to identify the individuals, the car took off at a high rate of speed and a chase ensued. The pursuit came to an end on Reservoir Street near the intersection of Frazier Street, where the Vehicle Crashed into a utility pole, and the occupants of the vehicle fled on foot, and evaded capture. Later in October 2020 all Three Men were taken into custody and Charged.

BREAKING: Wharton, New Jersey Man Convicted For Sexual Assault

43-YEAR-OLD RIDE-SHARE DRIVER CONVICTED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING A 16-YEAR-OLD GIRL

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, a Jury sitting in Passaic County, New Jersey returned Guilty Verdicts against a 43-Year-Old Wharton, New Jersey man for The Sexual Assault of a 16-Year-Old Prospect Park, New Jersey Girl back in 2019.



     On November 19, 2023, The Prospect Police Department received a report that a Minor Girl had been Sexually Assaulted by a Ride-Share Driver, who was later identified as Julio Mejia, 43, of Wharton, New Jersey. 


     An investigation was initiated by Members of The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and The Prospect Park Police Department. During the course of the investigation, Detectives collected Evidence and interviewed Multiple Witnesses, including the Minor Girl. The Child disclosed that Mr. Mejia and the Child had Sexual Intercourse after she took a Lyft Ride on August 30, 2019, and after that, the two continued to talk via Text Message over the next several weeks. They later had Sexual Intercourse for a Second Time. At the time of his Arrest, Mr. Mejia was an Active Member of The United States Military. 


     Following a Trial in Passaic County State Superior Court, a Jury Convicted Mr. Mejia on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, on The Charges of Second Degree Sexual Assault; Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact; Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and Second Degree Luring or Enticing a Child.


     On Wednesday, following the Conviction, Mr. Mejia was remanded to The Passaic County Jail to await Sentencing. The Honorable Joseph A. Portelli has Scheduled Sentencing for February 9, 2023, at which time Mr. Mejia will face a Sentence of Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison.
