East Rutherford Man Charged With Child Pornography

25-Year-Old East Rutherford Man Charged With Possession Thousands Of Images Of Child Sexual Abuse Material

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ.- Following an investigation into internet child sexual abuse material activity, a 25-year-old East Rutherford, New Jersey man was taken into custody on Friday and charged with possessing over 3000 sexually explicit digital images of children.


     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Friday, May 17, 2024, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant on the East Rutherford residence of Noel Q. Ricketts. The search warrant was the result of a child sexual abuse material investigation. 



     During the investigation, Detectives determined that Mr. Ricketts used the internet to view, download, and possess 3700 digital images depicting nude and sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.


     Accordingly, Ricketts was taken into custody at the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in Paramus, New Jersey, and formally charged with second-degree Possession of Child Pornography. Ricketts was processed on the charge and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.


"The rules of the court requires us to include a statement, that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt."
