54-YEAR-OLD DENVILLE MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE FIREARMS OFFENSES
"Robert H. Klaar Charged With Defacing Firearms, Narcotics, Conspiracy, & Money Laundering Offenses."

DENVILLE, NJ.- Today, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll reported that on February 6, 2024, Robert H. Klaar, 54, of Denville, New Jersey was Taken into Custody and Charged with Multiple Firearms and Narcotics Offenses.
Authorities Allege that Mr. Klaar sold a Defaced Shotgun last Month in Denville, New Jersey. During a subsequent investigation, a Court Authorized Search Warrant was Executed on Mr. Klaar's Denville Residence. During the Search, Detectives located Seventeen Firearms which consisted of Rifles and Handguns. Detectives also found Two Firearm Silencers and Found Evidence that Klaar was Manufacturing Silencers.
Further, during the Search, Authorities also located Firearm Manuals, $17,000. in Cash, High Capacity Magazines, Numerous Rounds of Hollow-Point Ammunition, Two Pounds of Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia. Klaar was Taken into Custody after Denville Police Officers conducted a Motor Vehicle Stop on February 6, 2024, in Denville, New Jersey, with the assistance of The Morris County Special Enforcement Unit.
After being Taken into Custody, Klaar was Formally Charged with Second Degree Possession of Firearms While in the Course of Committing a CDS Offense; Third Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute; Third Degree Possession of a Loaded Rifle; Third Degree Conspiracy to Deface Firearms; Third Degree Money Laundering; Third Degree Defacing Firearms; Fourth Degree Possession of a Defaced Firearm; Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Fourth Degree Manufacturing, Transporting, and Disposition of Silencers; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Distribution of a Defaced Firearm.
Mr. Klaar was Processed on The Charges and was Released on Pretrial Supervision with Conditions pending Future Court Proceedings in Morris County Superior Court in Morristown, New Jersey.
